1. Valve installation line items are not banded by actuation mode

• Industrial pipeline works (Section 6.8): 6.8.48 "low-pressure valve installation shall set corresponding items according to influencing factors such as valve type and size, in combination with the relevant codes"; the same applies to medium pressure (6.8.56) and high pressure (6.8.61). Medium- and high-pressure valve testing, electrically actuated valves, flow meters etc. refer to and follow 6.8.50-6.8.55 respectively (6.8.57-6.8.60, 6.8.62-6.8.65).
• Water supply and drainage, heating and gas works (Section 6.10): 6.10.47 "valve installation shall set corresponding items according to influencing factors such as valve type, connection form and size, in combination with the relevant codes".

• The actuation-mode dimension appears only in the item setting of instrumentation items: 6.6.17 "process control instruments shall set corresponding items according to influencing factors such as ... type, function, and pneumatic or electric mode, in combination with the relevant codes".

2. Valve body installation and checking and wiring fall under different chapters and are priced separately

• 6.6.20 item 1: "The construction consumptions for checking and wiring of regulating valves already installed on industrial pipelines - butterfly valves, on/off valves, shut-off valves, eccentric rotary valves, multi-port solenoid valves etc. - shall follow the corresponding valve checking and wiring items of this section. Installing regulating valves on industrial pipelines shall follow the corresponding items of the industrial pipeline works, with instrumentation assisting the installation." Pneumatic ON/OFF valves (gate/ball valves) belong to the on/off and shut-off valve family; where already installed, this clause routes them to the "valve checking and wiring" items of the automatic control chapter.
• 6.8.51: "The construction consumptions for electrically actuated valve installation shall include the motor installation but exclude checking and wiring etc. Checking and wiring of electrically actuated valves shall follow the corresponding items of the electrical equipment installation works."

3. Actuators and accessories: complete sets not counted separately; non-complete-set items / items with commissioning content counted separately

• 6.6.21: "Quantities of electrically and pneumatically actuated regulating valves shall be measured as complete-set installation and commissioning, including the actuator and the valve, the handwheel and the supplied complete-set accessories, and shall not be counted separately; valve positioners, proximity switches and limit switches supplied with them that involve commissioning content shall have their quantities calculated separately; accessories not supplied as a complete set that need to be configured additionally, such as solenoid valves, shall have their installation and commissioning quantities calculated separately."
• 6.6.22: where an actuator forms a different control mode and requires additional accessories, the selection of those accessories shall follow the listed items, with their installation and commissioning quantities calculated separately.
• 6.6.23: construction consumptions for interlock loops and alarm loops shall follow the corresponding items of sequence control devices and signal alarm devices.

4. Work content and coefficient rules when applying the valve line items (industrial pipeline works, Section 6.8)

• 6.8.49: valve installation consumptions shall not include special requirements such as magnetic particle testing of the valve body or renewal of valve-stem seal packing.
• 6.8.50: valve testing content and media are determined by the design or the codes; except for regulating valves, all other valve installations shall comprehensively allow for shell pressure testing and sealing tests (with water as the medium); where the shell pressure test and sealing test are not performed, the construction consumptions of the corresponding items should be multiplied by a coefficient of 0.60.
• 6.8.52: instrument flow meters installed directly on pipelines follow the corresponding valve installation items, with construction consumptions multiplied by a coefficient of 0.70; flow-restricting orifices and figure-8 blind plates follow the corresponding valve installation items, multiplied by a coefficient of 0.40; strainers follow the corresponding items for valves of the same size, with labour consumptions multiplied by a coefficient of 1.20.
• 6.8.53: quantities of all valve installations are counted by the design quantities, distinguished by size; the nominal diameter of a pressure-reducing valve is taken on the high-pressure side; 6.8.54: quantities of flanged valve installation and of the matching flange installation shall be calculated separately; 6.8.55: bolt sizes and quantities are determined by the design requirements.

5. Supporting rules of the water supply and drainage, heating and gas chapter (Section 6.10)

• 6.10.48: valve installation consumptions shall include the sampling inspection work of strength and tightness tests before valve installation.
• 6.10.49: consumptions for flanged valves may allow for flanged connections on both sides; where only one side is flanged, the quantities of flanges and bolts shall be halved.
• 6.10.51: solenoid valve installation follows the valve installation items by connection form, with labour consumptions multiplied by a coefficient of 1.10; strainers follow the corresponding valve installation items by connection form, labour multiplied by a coefficient of 1.20; steam traps and pressure-reducing valves follow the corresponding valve installation items by connection form.
• 6.10.54: valve installation quantities shall be counted by the design quantities, distinguished by connection form and size; pressure-reducing valves are sized on the high-pressure side.

6. Supporting work content of the process control instruments in the automatic control chapter: 6.6.18 process control instrument consumptions include material collection, handling, preparation, individual commissioning, installation, fixing, making up joints, wiring check and connection, assisting single-equipment trial runs, tagging position numbers and preparing installation test records, and also include assisting the installation of regulating valves, inline solenoid valves and self-actuated valves on pipelines, as well as regulating valve testing (valve-body strength, seat leakage, air tightness, tightness, full-stroke travel, hysteresis, linearity, error and sensitivity-limit tests); 6.6.19 consumptions for miniature regulating valves shall include body installation and testing.
