2. Water supply scenario (PE-ERT as water pipe, fusion jointed)

Work content, original wording: "on-site handling, checking and cleaning of pipes, pipe cutting, pairing-up, preheating, fusion jointing, installation of pipes and fittings, pipe-clip fixing, hydraulic pressure testing, water flushing." 3. PP-R / PE-X comparison

• PP-R: same tables and same items as PE-ERT. The water supply item is named "plastic water supply pipe" and its main-material column is the generic "plastic pipe / plastic fittings"; items are not subdivided by base material, and the main material is entered and converted at the selected design price. The floor-heating item's work content expressly covers "polypropylene pipes".
• PE-X (cross-linked polyethylene): once cross-linked it cannot take socket-fusion joints (the norm is compression / slip-on mechanical connection), so it must not directly take the "fusion connection" items; no water supply item named for PE-X appears, so application must be checked against the actual jointing method, or converted or supplemented. In floor-heating scenarios it takes C10-7-41 to 43 under the "polyethylene and similar materials" wording.
• Aluminium-plastic composite pipes and PB (polybutylene) pipes are likewise covered by C10-7-41 to 43 in floor-heating scenarios.

4. Application points

1. Floor heating and water supply are mutually exclusive: floor-heating pipe laying must follow the corresponding heating-appliances items (C10-7-41 to 43) and must not take water supply / buried plastic pipe items; conversely, water supply pipes must not take floor-heating items.
2. The work content of both families already includes hydraulic pressure testing and water flushing, so testing / flushing must not be itemised separately; the floor-heating items already include tying and fixing of the clips and "co-ordination with floor casting".
3. The main material is not locked to a base material ("floor radiant heating pipe" / "plastic pipe"); in independent rate build-up it is entered and converted at the actually selected PE-ERT price.
4. Different banding bases: floor heating C10-7 bands by pipe OD (within 16/20/25 mm); water supply C10-2 / C10-1 bands by nominal diameter DN.

Applicability Boundaries

• Applies to plastic-pipe item selection under Beijing DB11/T 2382-2024 (Annex C, general building services works); other regions or editions must be checked against the local current quota.
• Data-registration caution: in the electronic data C10-7-41 to 43 have "Table C.10.59 unit-heater installation" registered as their owning table, which conflicts with their work content (laying of floor radiant heating pipes) and is suspected to be a registration misalignment; when applying, verify by item code plus work content.
