Main text 4.17.6 item 6: "the quantities of post-cast strip formwork and supports shall be computed on the contact area between the formwork and the post-cast strip" (unit m2), i.e. only the area where the formwork touches the strip counts. Side stop-ends are not charged separately: the post-cast strip concrete items already contain the quick-closure expanded-metal mesh consumption - foundation slab (A-5-57) 4.2 m/m3, beams (A-5-58) 4.2 m/m3, floor slabs (A-5-59) 2.1 m/m3, walls (A-5-60) 4.2 m/m3 (all per m3 of post-cast strip concrete). The mesh sealing the strip's two side edges must not be priced again; the formwork counts the contact faces only.

2. Item assignment - dedicated items by position; the beam-and-slab item does not apply

Dedicated items exist for post-cast strip formwork and are applied and listed separately by position:

• Foundation post-cast strip: A-16-41 (brick side-form method, including standard bricks), A-16-42 (support-system method), composite formwork, m2;
• Wall post-cast strip: A-16-43 composite formwork (including the tie-bolt system);
• Slab-type post-cast strip: A-16-44 composite formwork (consumption includes disc-lock ledgers, disc-lock standards and other independent support system parts). A-16-33 (beam-and-slab, flat slab and flat plate, composite formwork) serves the slab formwork outside the post-cast strip; once the strip is listed separately, the main-slab and the post-cast-strip formwork quantities belong apart and are not merged into each other, and neither side may be charged twice. Verification note: in the available data both A-16-43 and A-16-44 are displayed named "wall post-cast strip", but the consumption make-up of A-16-44 (disc-lock independent support ledgers / standards) corresponds to the slab-type strip detail; in formal compilation and review, confirm against the item names in the original quota book.

3. Height exceedance - follows the host member, computed on the whole area of the exceeding part, charged additionally

Clause 4.17.1 item 4, original wording: "columns, beams, walls and slabs shall be determined separately by formwork support height (the height between the outdoor design ground level, or the slab surface, and the slab soffit), of which: the part within a support height of 3.60 m is determined comprehensively without height bands; the part exceeding 3.60 m shall be determined comprehensively as 'for each additional 1 m above 3.60 m of formwork support height', its quantities computed on the whole area of the exceeding part; where the exceeding part is under 1 m, the per-additional-1 m item applies." Applied to post-cast strip formwork: (1) the standard sets no dedicated exceedance item for post-cast strips - the exceedance follows its host position under the corresponding column / beam / wall / slab "each additional 1 m above 3.60 m" items (wall-type e.g. A-16-31, m2, labour 0.0180 workday etc.); (2) the normal formwork item is computed on the full contact area, and the exceedance item is added on top on "the whole area of the exceeding part" - it is not carved out of the normal quantity; (3) an exceeding part under 1 m still executes the per-additional-1 m item.

Applicability Boundaries

• Applies only to building and decoration works pricing under Beijing DB11/T 2382-2024; the formwork items and exceedance rules of other provinces' consumption standards / quota systems differ and must not be applied directly.
• The positions above rest on section 4.17 of the standard's main text and the item data of table A.16.1, Annex A; item names and construction details are to be verified against the original quota book.
• Post-cast strip concrete and formwork sit in different chapters (A.5.1-9 post-cast strip concrete items, A.16.1 preliminary-items formwork items) and are listed and priced separately.
